The IRAM Safety Mark is a mandatory (except for exempted products) certification mark for Argentina. Since 31 December 2002, regulated products have had to be assessed and certified by a qualified certification authority accredited by the Argentina Accreditation Organization (OAA) before they can be legally placed on the market. Manufacturers may affix the Safety Mark to certified products to demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the relevant Argentine regulations.
