The Electrical Products (Safety) Regulation of Hong Kong, China, came into operation on 1 December 2000. The Regulation applies to all electrical products sold for domestic use or supplied with a dwelling in Hong Kong, China. Manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, retailers of electrical and electronic products and real estate developers who sell, rent or license electrical and electronic products for domestic use together with their dwellings must manufacture, sell and use the products required by the Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation.
