In July 1, 2016, GCC Standardization Organization GSO issued the Gulf Technical Regulations for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances respectively officially effective. Regulations require that products within the scope of control must obtain GC certification and shall bear GC-Mark before entering the markets of GSO member countries (UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Yemen).
On January 4, 2023, CHCT was officially authorized as the designated certification body of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), the scope of authorization is low voltage electrical equipment and appliances. with this authorization, CHCT can issue GC mark certificates and provide one-stop service of testing, certification and registration for enterprises exporting to the Gulf member States.
