Malaysia ST COA (Certification of Approvals) is a product safety certification system implemented by the Malaysian Ministry of Energy (ST, Suruhanjaya Tenaga). Malaysia implements a compulsory and voluntary product safety certification system. Products within its compulsory scope must apply for a COA certificate from the Ministry of Energy of Malaysia before they can be sold in the Malaysian market, and products that are not subject to compulsory certification can apply for voluntary certification. Malaysia has only safety requirements for the time being and has not implemented the control of electromagnetic compatibility.
