The theme of this conference is "Building a New Green, Low-Carbon, and Circular Ecology and Promoting New Practices of EPR." The conference featured various forums, including "Global Latest Policies and Standards," "Action on Implementing EPR Recycling Target Responsibility System - Institutional Research," "Action on Implementing EPR Recycling Target Responsibility System - Institutional Research and Enterprise Practices," "Green Supply Chain, Carbon Reduction Standards, and Zero-Waste Supply Chain," "WEEE Recycling and Second-Hand Products," and "Recycling, Disposal, and Resource Utilization Technologies." More than 50 experts and scholars were gathered to present a total of 34 thematic reports. Two hot-topic dialogues were organized on "Opportunities and Strategies for EPR Recycling Target Responsibility System" and "Technological Transformation and Green, Low-Carbon Path for Treatment Companies."
During the conference, the fourth batch of EPR Partner Program companies list was announced, which aims to help manufacturing companies connect with innovative recycling, processing, and comprehensive resource utilization enterprises, enabling the traceability of information throughout the entire process of waste product recycling and disposal, as well as constructing green recycling and disposal channels for waste products with a environmentally friendly, efficient and cost-effective way, ultimately improving resource utilization levels.
During the conference, the "White Paper on China’s Recycling, Disposal, and Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Electrical and Electronic Products 2022" was released. This White Paper is the 13th annual industry white paper launched by Center for Electrical Circulation and Green Development Research, CHEARI, which covers a wide range of industry data for 2022, including theoretical scrappage volume, processing capacity, recycling channels, and carbon emission factors during the dismantling process. This White Paper presents the discussions and analyzations from many perspectives including the overall economic situation, policy trends, and industry development hotspots, which providing an effective means and tool for government departments, research institutions, and enterprises to understand development situation.
The conference also included student paper presentations, showcases of green innovation by enterprises and other series of activities. Over 200 participants attended the conference, including representatives from electrical and electronic products producing companies, waste electrical and electronic products recycling, processing and remanufacturing companies, research institutions, as well as teachers and students from universities.
